The Rotary Foundation

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

The Rotary Foundation helps fund our humanitarian activities, from local service projects to global initiatives. Your club can apply for district and global grants from the Foundation to invest in projects and provide scholarships. The Foundation also leads the charge on worldwide Rotary campaigns such as eradicating polio and promoting peace

District 6110 Rotarians support the Foundation’s work through voluntary contributions. Each District 6110 Rotarian is asked to make a contribution to the annual fund each year. Those contributions come back to our district in the form of district designated funds (DDF) to fund district grants and global grants. Our district also contributes a portion of our district designated funds each year to keep our promise to eradicate polio.

Over 300 District 6110 Rotarians contribute to the Annual Fund each year through Rotary Direct, where an ongoing contribution, in the frequency and amount that you choose, is automatically paid via your debit or credit card. You can sign up online at My Rotary, or contact a member of our Foundation team or our District Administrator for assistance. We can also answer questions and provide assistance in setting up Endowment Fund gifts. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like a Foundation program at your club, or if I or any member of our District 6110 Foundation team can be of assistance.
